DETAILS:Quarter plate tintype photograph. Powerfulintimidating portrait of what appears to be a powerful older man (father) along with brutish younger companions (sons). Note the raised clinched fistwith the bold gold ring, the otheraccented gold jewelry, serious expressions on all three of the mens faces. Also note that the older gentleman has his arm embracing the younger gentleman backindicating some kind of close bond. All of these features taken together give the impression of a tough intimidating criminal family operating sometime during the Civil War Era.
