My good friend, Warren Hensel, spent 30+ years perfecting the art of flint knapping. He developed a technique for fluting points, long considered a lost art. His points have sold world wide, but he was most proud of the points he sold to members of the First Nation. I spent the last ten years helping him collect material to work, photographing his points and doing his computer work. On his passing, he left me between one and two thousand points. I hope you enjoy them as much as me. Reminder, these are reproductions and should not be represented as historic artifacts.
This 5.49 inch point was made in the Mayan style. The photo shows the point with light shining through it to reveal the double flow nature of the obsidian.
