Pre-Civil War Model 1835/42 Socket Bayonet - US Marked:

Model 1835/42 Socket Bayonet. Blade face is marked "U.S." over crossed arrows. It is straight, some light nicks, has age spots, and a little light pitting with some minor surface rust scattered throughout. The locking ring is attached and functional. Length of the blade measures 18" (7/8" wide x 7/16" thick), and the bayonet is 20 5/8". The socket is 2 5/8". The muzzle hole is 13/16". Check out my otherWaritems!!
