The book iscomplete in two partsand contains16 copperplate engravings plus the engraved frontispiece. Despite the considerable age and wear to the original leather boards, the interior is exceptionally well preserved: clean and unmarked, with no damaged or missing pages and only very light occasional foxing. The volume has been professionally rebacked in leather with a red gilt-lettered spine label; hinges and joints are tight and sound.

The original leather boards show substantial rubbing, scuffing and surface loss consistent with a book approaching 240 years old. The later leather spine is clean and strong, and the book presents as a handsome, structurally sound early illustrated edition.
