An Inuk hunter in a decorated parka stands with his dog, preparing for the seal hunt. Stylized fish and seal forms form a ring around the scene. Signed Peter Ragee / Cape Dorset / NU / Sept 2011 in Roman script and Inuktitut syllabics, with the artist’s circular chop.

Provenance: purchased directly from the artist in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
Professionally framed under glass, gold-tone frame, black mat. Ready to hang.
Framed size: 20" high x 25.5" wide. About 2 lb.
Ordinary picture glass (not museum UV). Frame is for display and protection; value is in the original 2011 drawing.
