Vintage Parker 75 Insignia Gold-Plated Fountain Pen – 14K Gold Nib – QE 1980 – USA – Parker Case, Converter & Papers
Beautiful vintage Parker 75 Insignia fountain pen, made in the USA and featuring Parker’s classic gold-plated crosshatch/grid-pattern cap and barrel.
This is a particularly attractive and well-preserved example of the Parker 75, combining the distinctive gold crosshatch finish, classic Parker arrow clip, solid 14K gold nib and the Parker 75’s adjustable writing section.
The cap is clearly marked PARKER / QE / MADE IN U.S.A. The QE date code corresponds to the second quarter of 1980.

The 14K marking refers to the solid gold nib. The cap and barrel are not marked 14K gold-filled, so this example is conservatively described as the later gold-plated Parker 75 Insignia rather than as a gold-filled version.
The black gripping section retains the distinctive Parker 75 adjustable nib-angle indicator ring, which allows the orientation of the nib to be adjusted to suit the writer’s preferred writing position.
The pen also retains its Parker squeeze-style ink converter, which is installed and shown in the photographs.
CONDITION
The pen presents very well for its age. The gold-plated crosshatch finish remains bright and attractive, with the engraved grid pattern crisp and well defined. There are normal light surface marks, micro-scratches and handling wear consistent with a vintage writing instrument. The black section and metal adjustment ring also show normal age-related wear.
The 14K nib appears complete and intact and shows normal vintage surface wear. I have observed no obvious major dents, cracks or significant areas of plating loss. Please examine the detailed close-up photographs carefully, as they show the actual condition of the pen and form an important part of this description.
The pen has not been recently filled with ink or writing-tested. The nib, adjustable section and converter appear complete, but because the pen has not been recently inked, no guarantee is made regarding current writing performance or the condition of the vintage converter seals. It is being offered as a vintage collectible in the condition shown.
