Original July 31, 1971 The New York Times Apollo 15 Moon Landing
Newspaper This original July 31, 1971, edition of The New York Times is a significant historical artifact documenting the Apollo 15 mission, featuring the headline 'Two Astronauts Land on Moon'. Collectors highly prize newspapers that capture major turning points in space exploration. The value is driven by the historical importance of the mission and the iconic status of The New York Times as a record of record. Condition is a primary factor in valuation; copies that are well-preserved, showing minimal yellowing or edge wear, command higher prices. It serves as an excellent reference piece for space historians and memorabilla collectors alike, documenting the scientific and cultural impact of the lunar landing.
