GENERAL OMAR N. BRADLEY – TWO-PIECE SIGNED AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION
Offered together are two authentic signed pieces from General of the Army Omar N. Bradley, one of America’s most important World War II commanders.
Included:
- May 15, 1969 typed letter signed by Omar N. Bradley on his personal “Omar N. Bradley – General of the Army” letterhead.
- The letter is addressed to Jack Karan, Adjutant, Lakewood Chapter 19, Disabled American Veterans, and discusses Bradley honoring a request and a ceremony attended by members of the DAV. Bradley personally signs the letter “Omar N Bradley.”
- The letter is accompanied by a Todd Mueller Autographs Letter of Authenticity, item PP6026, dated 8/09/26.
- Also included is a July 4, 1942 First Day Cover, boldly signed “General Omar N Bradley.”
- The FDC has been authenticated by Beckett/BAS.
Bradley commanded the U.S. First Army during the Normandy campaign, later commanded the 12th Army Group in Europe, became Army Chief of Staff, and served as the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In 1950 he was promoted to General of the Army, making him the last American officer promoted to five-star rank.
Both pieces display very well together and make an excellent addition to a WWII, U.S. Army, military leadership, presidential-era, or historic autograph collection.
The 1969 letter shows normal age, handling and mailing folds as pictured. The FDC also shows expected age and handling. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
