Using amulti-step sanding process, we carefully remove by hand all the layers of yourgreat grandparent’s old dark mahogany stain, as well as all other repairsneeded for these masterpieces. Once the cabinet reaches the bare wood stage,modern day stains and toners are used to highlight the natural woodgrains.The cabinet is then treated with a series of thin high gloss clearcoat lacquer applications in a controlled environment.The action of wetsanding is applied between each clear coat, eliminating any orange peel effect.A final hand-glazing is applied, ensuring for a beautiful mirror like lusterand shine!
We strive tobring these cabinets back to life, the way we feel they should have or couldhave looked. By using modern day custom color stain blends and toner coloraccent options that ceased to exist in the past, along with our combined color& finish studies enable us to complete these cabinets inavariety ofGolden Oak Finishes!
CABINETSOUND MODIFICATION:We feel these historical cabinets deserve areplacement from an audio aspect as well!Byadding a modernday new Bluetooth stereo speaker breathes new life into these unique Art Decocabinets.We do not feel this compromise's the piece but rather enhancesthe experience with an updated sound modification. Normally inside thesebeautiful cabinets the grille is being blocked by the speaker mount by approximately1/3. As well the cabinet was acting as just a holder for the outdated speaker,pressed up against the grille, therefore receiving No natural acoustics fromthe cabinet. As well the metal chassis and other components restrict thecabinet from producing any type of quality sound capabilities. Our conceptconsists of removing all of the old components from the cabinet. The interioris then lined with the highest grade of black felt leaving the roof of thecabinet in its natural wood stage.Creating the prefect sound environment!The addition of LEDlighting with a new High Tech 40-Watt, Dual Sided Bluetooth Stereo Speakerresides in a custom fit African Padauk wood pedestal perfectlycentered inthe cabinet. This allows for a warm balanced 360 HD stereo surround soundenhanced performancethat can not be topped!
