Mom owned a five and dime/candy store in the 1960s and 1970s. The store has been closed since 1976 and many of her old stock items were discovered after her passing in a storage facility. I have been selling off many Christmas, valentines, and Halloween candy boxes. The cardboard boxes are decorated with crêpe paper, gold, trim, ribbons, and are very unique to the mid-century era
Featured here is a round embossed box with a bisque Gnome and wooden Mushrooms sitting on top. Mushroom, toadstool This could have been a Christmas candy container, valentine, Nevertheless, only a two of these were found. The boxes about 3 inches and diameter and stands about 4 inches tall with the bisque gnome and wood mushroom
I have many Christmas, all occasion, and Halloween boxes available.
Ask questions, please Limited supply on these fun candy boxes
I believe these boxes held a small cellophane bag with candy. Many of the boxes that were discovered were destroyed and I’m only selling off the ones in suitable condition.
Please look at photos and ask questions. The heads look to have been discolored due to age, but the rest of the boxes is in very good condition.
