Here\'s a nicel 1930s General radio. This radio was probably made by Plant A (Clinton?) and features a nicely shaped case with cool mirror dial.
The cabinet is complete and has been refinished. The radio was stripped, then grain filled and coated with Mohawk lacquers. The trim was sprayed in a dark lacquer. The finish was buffed out and looks wonderful. It displays very well. Please look carefully at the photos.
It has a replacement grille cloth. The knobs are present. Dial looks pretty good. It\'s reverse painted, so would look much nicer when lit up. There\'s some cracking in the paint, particularly in the red areas. The paint has shifted a little bit making that area look more fuzzy. Please look carefully at the photos.
The chassis is unrestored by me and will need to be gone through by a qualified technician if the radio is to be used. It is missing three tubes. Without a model number, I can\'t say what those tubes are. It also has losses in the speaker cone. I\'ve removed the chassis and photographed this so you know what you\'re getting into.
The radio will be carefully packed in a sturdy box with bubble wrap and peanuts.
If the price is too high, please make an offer. I\'m here to move things along!
