lot of 4 original NOS (New Old Stock) Chevrolet USA-1 dealer promotional license plates.
These are authentic period Chevrolet booster plates featuring the classic red, white, and blue patriotic “U-S-A-1” design with stars and stripes inside the embossed letters. “CHEVROLET” is printed in blue across the top with a matching blue border. Modern Chinese-made licensed reproductions usually have longer mounting slots, a ® trademark next to “CHEVROLET,” and often small “Licensed by GM” (or similar) text.
• Genuine original aluminum plates (not modern reproductions)
• Natural unpainted aluminum backs with reverse embossing of the lettering
• Small mounting holes (correct for original dealer-issue plates)
• Excellent unused condition – never mounted, shiny, and clean
• Standard 6” x 12” size
These were supplied by Chevrolet to dealerships for use on showroom and lot vehicles, primarily in the late 1970s through the 1980s. The aluminum construction with natural backs is consistent with the later production of this popular Bicentennial-era design.
Condition:
NOS / unused. The plates show only very minor storage marks consistent with age. No mounting holes have been elongated, no major scratches, and the paint is bright and glossy. As the pics show; two are an off white, one is brighter white and one has slight fading going from an off to a more of a pure white.
