Mystic #23, published by Atlas Comics in September 1953. Golden Age pre-Code horror issue featuring a striking Russ Heath cover and the classic “Don’t Shrink Sam’s Head!” story. CGC specifically notes “Shrunken head panels” on the label. Russ Heath cover and art with additional Ross Andru artwork.
Professionally graded CGC 6.0 Universal Grade with Off-White to White Pages. CGC certification number 4756077005. Slab presents very nicely and the dark horror cover has excellent eye appeal for the grade. Please review all photos closely for the exact condition of the CGC holder and book.
A great higher-grade example of a desirable 1950s Atlas horror book with classic pre-Code imagery. These early Atlas horror issues can be difficult to find in solid certified mid-grade copies.
