Up for sale, is this absolutely museum-quality, size 68, German M35, Heer DD helmet. The shell is not original WW2, but the lines are perfect. I’ve never seen this helmet’s equal. I’ve encountered decent M42 copies, but every M35 reproduction I’ve ever seen has been a very poor imitation, to say the least. That is not the case with this helmet.
Restored in an early-war, apple-green paint. The paint has a couple scuff marks, and a small chip under the adler, but it doesn’t go all the way to the steel and is not very noticeable. The helmet has actually never been used, only displayed.
The maker stamp of ET68 is as good as it gets. Not one of those hokey ET-68 stamps with the hyphen.
The “Hubert Jordan” adler and tri-color are from Europe (not from DDay, but high-quality) and they’ve been lacquered on (feel free to ask for additional photos).
The size 60 liner’s leather is super high-quality, and has a natural finish. The chinstrap is also top-shelf in quality. Both are the early-war type that use aluminum, instead of steel. They were both European imported, handmade pieces, made by Marek Tunega. Many of you will recognize that name, but for those of you that do not, his liners and chinstraps are superb.
Original, size 68 M35 shells are not only extremely hard to find, but very expensive as well. I know, because I’ve sold a lot of them. This one is more budget friendly, while still providing the highest level of authenticity.
