This Lori C Mitchell folk art design is Bon Voyage of the Summer Americana Collection; the lovely 7” tall figurine is made of resin, paper pulp, and metal and is self standing on a 1.75” diameter base. The young girl figure has rosy cheeks and is wearing a sailor’s hat with red, white, and blue star firecrackers and a white sailor’s dress with red ribbon. She has red and white stripe stockings with black shoes. She is carrying a red suitcase. The base is dark green with the imprint of Lori C Mitchell @ ESC (ESC Trading) around the rim of the base.Lori C Mitchell was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Lori is inspired by children\'s stories and literature, old illustrations, and vintage toys. In 1999 she made her first folk art papier-mâché figurine. Her charming characters have become collectable whimsy.
