Provenance: This photograph comes directly from the Marty Himes Racing Museum Collection, assembled over decades by Marty Himes - racer, restorer, and lifelong archivist of American racing. Every piece he preserved tells part of the story of motorsport’s rise from dirt tracks to the spectacle of the Indy 500. We acquired the majority of his photo collection after his passing. Many of his photos are extremely rare or even one of a kind.

Historical Notes
Lincoln Speedway in New Oxford, Pennsylvania is one of the most storied short tracks in the Mid-Atlantic region, known for its intense 358 and 410 sprint car competition. The track has hosted legendary names in sprint car racing over the decades and remains an active venue to this day. Ken Weld was known as both a driver and track owner in the Pennsylvania sprint car scene, and his partnership with Tom Livelsberger at Lincoln Speedway placed them at the heart of regional sprint racing during this era. Winning a 50-lap sprint feature at Lincoln was a significant achievement, and this photo documents that moment of celebration. The Port Flow Cylinder Heads sponsorship in the background is a reminder of the tight-knit network of engine builders and speed shops that sustained grassroots sprint car racing throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
