KomeStone 12000 Grit Aluminum Oxide Polish 1lb Features

Step 5 Final Polish – 12000 Grit Aluminum Oxide for Maximum Shine: This ultra-fine 12000-grit aluminum oxide polishing powder is engineered for the final stage of rock tumbling. The sub-micron formula reduces residual surface marks left by coarser grits, delivering the highest gloss achievable in a rock tumbler — a deep, brilliant luster that standard Step 5 polishes simply can't match.
• Higher Gloss Than 8000 Grit — The Best Finish Your Tumbler Can Deliver: The 12000-grit formula delivers noticeably higher gloss than 8000 grit. Use it as your Step 5 for a premium finish from the start, or add it as a Step 6 after 8000 grit for a two-stage final polish. The result: the maximum shine level achievable in a rotary or vibrating rock tumbler — no additional equipment needed.
• Premium Aluminum Oxide – Trusted by Lapidary Professionals: KomeStone uses high-purity aluminum oxide for consistent, repeatable results across rocks, gemstones, quartz, agate, glass, and jewelry components. A reliable, high-performance alternative to tin oxide and cerium oxide polishes — delivering deep, brilliant results at a better value.
• Flexible Use – Step 5 or Step 6, Compatible with All Rock Tumblers: Use 12000 grit directly as your Step 5 for a finer finish from the start, or run it as a Step 6 after 8000 grit for maximum shine. Works with rotary and vibrating rock tumblers of all brands. This flexibility makes it a versatile addition to any rock tumbling setup — beginner or advanced.
• Easy Usage Guide – Resealable 1 lb Container: Add approximately 2 tablespoons (0.05 lb) of polishing powder per 1 lb of stones with enough water to just cover the load, and run for 3–5 days. Packaged in a resealable 1 lb container for easy storage and reorder. Results may vary depending on stone type, hardness, and equipment.
• Complete Your Rock Tumbling System – Full Grit Line from KomeStone: This 12000-grit polish is the final step in KomeStone's complete multi-stage grit system. Our Full Stage Rock Tumbler Grit Kit covers Steps 1–4 in a 5 lb set, with refills in 4 lb, 6 lb, and 10 lb sizes. Customers who use KomeStone tumblers with our full grit lineup consistently report outstanding results.
• KomeStone is designed for rock tumbling enthusiasts in the U.S., offering a range of rock tumbling machines and grit systems for beginners and hobby users. The product lineup includes multiple models across different series, such as the K Series (K1, K1 Pro, K2, K4, K5) and the G Series (G1 4LB, G2 8LB, G3 22LB).
