KA-BAR Original military issue designed Mark 1 offers aKraton G elastomer handle for better grip and control even in wet environmentconditions.
The knife has an epoxy powder coated, high carbon (1095)steel blade with a [HRC 56-58] hardness rating.
This Mark 1 knife features a 5 1/8″ straight edge full tangblade that is flat ground sharpened to 20 / 20 degrees with buff polished edgesproviding an excellent cutting edge.
The overall length of this knife is 9 3/16″, the perfectsize for an easy carry tactical Navy knife.
The metal butt caps & carbon steel guards are bothpowder coated to protect against corrosion.
Knife is made exclusively in Olean, New York and proudlystamped with the KA-BAR brand name.
Knife comes in a non-reflective all black finish and has afull straight edge flat ground blade for better edge retention and easysharpening.
Knife comes with a Molle compatible hard shell reinforcedblack plastic sheath which is a highly protective and can withstand roughtreatment in harsh terrains. These sheaths are known for their resistance toimpact, corrosion, and abrasion. Its all-weather performance, impervious tomost chemicals, petroleum-based products, and moisture, including salt waterhas made it very popular with underwater divers. With its many lashing ports,and double snap closures, this sheath can be mounted in several differentpositions including inverted.
