This is the complete JLA/Avengers Collector’s Edition slipcase set by the legendary creative team of Kurt Busiek and George Pérez, including both hardcover volumes.
This set has been exceptionally well preserved and presents beautifully. The books were clearly collector-owned and carefully stored. The pages are bright, crisp, and clean, the colors remain rich and vibrant, the gloss is outstanding, and both bindings are tight and solid. The books still have that unmistakable fresh “new bookstore” smell, making it hard to believe they are over two decades old.
The oversized blue Collector’s Edition hardcover is outstanding, with beautiful gold foil stamping and an exceptionally clean interior. The Companion volume is equally impressive.
For complete accuracy, the Companion dust jacket has a small puncture/tear near the lower edge and very slight waviness along the top edge of the dust jacket, both shown in the photos. These are minor cosmetic imperfections that are only noticeable upon close inspection. There may also be a few extremely light storage or handling marks consistent with careful collector ownership.
Overall, this is an exceptionally well-preserved complete set that would make an outstanding addition to any serious Marvel, DC, George Pérez, or crossover collection.
