WORLD WAR KUKRI — THE LEGEND’S CHOICEA Personal Favourite of Gurkha Soldiers. A Legend of the War Era. The classic kukri preferred and carried by Gurkhas during the World War II era — rugged, practical, and rich in history. Additionally, a great knife to use and rely on.
A brief background on the kukri..The World War” Kukri became hugely popular in Nepal from the early 1980s, named after the belief that it was used by Gurkhas during the World Wars. However, KHHI’s research has found no conclusive evidence that it was officially issued. Its design differs from documented military-issue kukris, though it may have been personally purchased and carried by Gurkhas. Historical photographs do show similar kukris in use, but the available records remain unclear. It was likely privately purchased by soldiers and later brought into service, possibly replacing their issued kukri because it was more practical and effective.Besides its deep association with the Gorkhas, it is a powerful, versatile, and dependable working knife with perfect blade size, weight and feel. The handle is equally strong, sturdy and provides a very comfortable grip. Its a kukri you want to carry at all times when cutting and exploring come to mind. Definitelyone of Nepal’s most iconic utility blades.Default Specifications (approx.)
