Higashi Takako Kutani Hana Sakura Matcha Chawan Bowl Signed Japan Pink.
This is her Hana Sakura / Flower & Cherry Blossom design, featuring a soft lavender-pink hand-painted ground with delicate pink and white cherry blossom petals outlined in dark brown. Additional petals decorate the interior of the bowl. The wheel-thrown form has a gently flared rim and exposed dark stoneware foot, giving it a wonderful handmade studio-pottery character.
The artist’s “TAKAKO” signature is painted on the exterior near the foot.
Traditional Japanese Kutani-yaki pottery, made in Japan. The same Hana Sakura bowl is currently offered new in Japan with a wooden presentation box.
