For sale is an absolutely lovely and fully refurbished vintage 1960’s HERMES 3000 typewriter. This is the coveted first edition of this amazing Swiss typewriter in Seafoam green. This is an English typewriter with a 10 CPI Pica font and a rare USA QWERTY keyboard.
This typewriter was fully renovated recently by Typewriter Techs. Every part of the typewriter was disassembled, moving parts oiled and greased, felt insulation added (which makes it quieter), and anything worn replaced. It has a new rubber roller and rubber feet. The paint is very clean, with a small mark just under where the arm moves back and forth that was repaired with similar-colored paint (see last image).
The typing action is smooth and even, both in red and black, and thanks to the insulation the sound is nicely muffled. All functions work perfectly.
Includes its original carrying case which comes as pictured, along with a photocopy of the manual, which very useful so you can figure out all the functions on this 1960’s writing machine.
I bought this wonderful typewriter recently, and am selling it simply because I’ve discovered I miss my old IBM too much, so am going backwards to electric.
Typewriter will be shipped safely and securely in a dedicated, padded box.
Thank you and happy typing!!
