Haliotis volcanius #4 38.0mm,Patamakanthin & Eng 2002,GORGEOUS STRIPEDBEAUTY from Java. Collected at low tide on rocks, on the south-east central coast of Java, which is located in Indonesia, 2020. Another mini-abalone, (at least, if you\'ve seen the California sized abalone you would think so) but wow, what a difference! The California one is great, but the colors and patterns of these mini abalones come in really makes up for their small size. And if you want to watch someone collect small abalones, you can on YouTube, where a Chinese girl chats away the entire time in Chinese while collecting one after another of these mini-abalones. But she finds themnotfor their shells, but to eat! Yep, she finds themandthen throws them in her bucket, and every time she does, my wife an I cringe and cry out, \"No, no!\". Who would think watching YouTube could be so heartbreaking.... Anyhow, this particular beautiful species is found on the coast of Java, of all places, wow! And with its exquisite, striped pattern, itis a small, rarely offered, gorgeous beautythat wouldterrificsitting on your shelf! The perfect shell for a first-class collection.
As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that\'s why so many of the photos of shells on show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest! As for response, as your know, sellers live and die by the response you leaved, (please leave fives!) so if you have a problem, just let me know! After all, I\'m retired, and all messages go directly to my phone, so unless I\'m out shell collecting I will get back to you pronto-like!Shell collecting! Now there\'s a phrase that brings smiles to your eyes, doesn\'t it!Anyhow, if you have read this far, you have my apologies and best wishes from those of us at IslandShells323. And don\'t forget,Home is where your collection is!
