Vintage Gillette early Flare Tip Super Speed double-edge safety razor, date code Z2 (1954 second quarter). This example features the early Flare Tip handle profile, twist-to-open (TTO) mechanism, and original Gillette plating. Doors open and close smoothly, the TTO mechanism functions properly, and the razor clamps and aligns a blade correctly. The razor has been ultrasonically cleaned, sanitized, and lightly lubricated. The doors are reflective, and like most razors of this age, they show minor cosmetic scuffs visible in the photos.
