Vintage British Gillette Aristocrat open-comb safety razor set, sold for display, parts, repair or restoration.
This is an early British Gillette Aristocrat one-piece razor marked “Brit. Pat. No. 400621”, “Made in England” and with the Gillette trademark. It is supplied in its original fitted metal presentation case.
Important:
The razor is incomplete and cannot be used for shaving in its current condition. The two blade-clamping silo doors/top-cap sections are missing from the razor head. These parts would normally close over and secure the blade. The remaining twist-to-open mechanism/linkage moves, but without the missing doors the razor cannot correctly hold or clamp a British Gillette Aristocrat

The original presentation case shows considerable age and storage wear, including marks to the exterior metalwork, wear and deterioration to the purple interior lining, and wear/old adhesive residue around the original printed label.
