Offered is a vintage black-and-white fan studio photograph of 1950s Hollywood leading man George Nader. The smiling studio portrait shows a young Nader in a houndstooth sports jacket, white shirt and dark tie, holding a carved wooden statue.
George Nader (1921-2002) was a Universal Studios contract player and one of Hollywood\'s most popular leading men of the 1950s. He first starred in the cult 3-D science-fiction classic Robot Monster (1953), won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 1955, and headlined such films as Congo Crossing (1956), Away All Boats (1956), The Female Animal (1958) opposite Hedy Lamarr, and Lady Godiva of Coventry (1955) opposite Maureen O\'Hara. He later starred on television in The Further Adventures of Ellery Queen (1959) and authored the science-fiction novel Chrome (1978).
