This is a genuine miniature sample/nursery miniature washstand set crafted by the historic John Maddock & Sons in Burslem, England. This scaled-down matching set features an ornate miniature scalloped water pitcher and a miniature single-handled open chamber pot.
English Country aesthetic
Antique, Over 100 yrs old
Cobalt Blue & Creamy White
Miniature Pitcher 5" x 4"
Chamber Pot 3.5" x 5"
Great condition for its age. There are a few chips but they are not largely noticeable. It does appear to have a crack on handle, not sure if it was broken and reattached.
Both pieces feature Maddock's beautiful "Brooklyn" pattern—a stunning cobalt blue transferware motif depicting lush Victorian rose bouquets, delicate floral vines, and romantic foliage over a warm cream-white base. The bottom of the pitcher features the complete underglaze circular crown mark reading "John Maddock & Sons England Royal Vitreous - Brooklyn".
