Here we have a beauty from the 1930's. This difficult pattern is rarely seen, palm branch, made with the nile green fabric that was widely used in that era. The palm branches are hand pieced, then the whole quilt (71.5 x 86) was extensively hand quilted at a tiny, even 14 stitches per inch. The binding uses the same cream muslin as the background and backing. It was hand stitched on both sides. This little beauty is quite thin, and I'm not sure if has a thin flannel blanket for filling or doesn't have a filling.
