In 1989 a group of men told Ernest Emerson they were underwater welders. After a year of revisions they admitted the truth — DEVGRU. The knife he built them became the CQC-6, and carrying one became a status symbol in the special operations community.
That was thirty-seven years ago. Emerson Knives have since gone downrange with the SEAL Teams, Delta, Army Special Forces, the Rangers, the Marines, CIA Special Activities, and the British SAS. Ernie Emerson didn't join the tactical knife market. He created it.
This is the Emmerson Knives | Revolution 1776 Bourbon - Custom Knife. Tiger maple wood handle and 154CM steel.
Twenty knives. That's the entire run. Emerson's own words: these are not production knives with upgraded materials. The first twenty are true Super Customs, handmade one at a time by Ernie himself, with the same hand-finishing that made him one of the most recognized custom knifemakers on earth.
Look at photo nine. 007 / 020. Number seven of twenty, struck into the blade below the thumb disc. Twenty were made and twenty is all there will ever be.
1776 on one side. 2026 on the other. The shot heard round the world, and the flag it was fired for.
ARMA POTENTE — consequential tools for the discerning man.
