Scheelite with Muscovite with ?Mt. Xeubaoding, Pingwu Co., ChinaSmall-cabinet: 6.2 x 6 x 3.9 cm
This is a choice association specimen from the well-known Mt. Xeubaoding in China. The Scheelite and other large crystal of an unknown mineral are both well formed and lustrous, both exhibiting a very glassy and reflective luster. The white crystal intergrown with the scheelite looks like it could be quartz or calcite or even gemmy feldspar, but I\'m not knowledgeable enough to know for sure. The crystals sit on a bed of muscovite which brings the aesthetics to another level! The color on the scheelite is very nice, and there is no damage to my eye to the main crystals. A very nice small-cabinet matrix piece, perfect for any suite of Chinese minerals.
