The handwritten message reads: "Charleston W.Va.. 10:05 P.M. Monday. Just got home, & eat I already. We worked 12 hours today. I guess we will work 12 hours tomorrow night too. Its alright but its long hours to work. I was going to write you a letter tonight but we didn't have no stamps so I'm dropping you a card. Hoping you and Kids are well as it leaves me.
