Authentic Deakin & Francis \"Viking Skull\" Square Crystal Decanter
Genuine Brand-Signed Luxury Barware — Dual-Branded Dartington BaseUp for consideration is a striking, edgy piece of luxury barware designed by the historic British heritage house Deakin & Francis (est. 1786). This statement decanter pairs a heavily detailed, dark patinated figural Viking skull stopper (complete with a riveted helmet and polished horns) with a thick-base square clear crystal bottle.🌟 PROVENANCE & ARTISAN DETAILS:
- Intricate Gothic Sculpture: The stopper features an exceptionally detailed skeletal skull with deeply recessed eye sockets and an oxidized, textured finish that accentuates every rivet and contour of the Viking helmet and textured chainmail neck drape.
- Dual-Branded Base Pedigree: The underside of the heavy square crystal bottle is explicitly acid-etched with the full hallmark: \"DARTINGTON CRYSTAL for DEAKIN & FRANCIS ENGLAND.\" The underside of the heavy stopper collar is also cleanly stamped with the official \"DEAKIN & FRANCIS\" brand marquee, completely confirming its authentic pedigree as a cohesive, collaborative set.
PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
- Total Height: 10-1/4 inches tall (including stopper assembly)
- Base Width: 4 inches square
- Total Capacity: 650ml (65cl) — perfectly sized for a standard bottle of premium whiskey, bourbon, or scotch.
DETAILED CONDITION REPORT:
Aside from a minor cosmetic surface mark, this decanter assembly is in spectacular, pristine condition.
- The Stopper: Excellent structural and cosmetic condition. The dark oxidized finish is clean, the stamped underside is pristine, and the contrasting polished horns remain bright and securely attached.
- The Crystal Base: The heavy crystal body is structurally flawless with NO chips, NO cracks, and NO internal fractures. Please note there is a faint horizontal dark streak on one corner facet. This is a superficial cosmetic mark caused by metal color transfer from contact with the heavy stopper during handling, not a deep scratch or defect in the glass, and does not impact the stability or presentation of the piece.
A phenomenal, highly impactful display piece for any sophisticated home bar or Gothic collection. Please review the high-resolution photographs to appreciate the museum-quality state of this rare piece.Shipping cost includes Insurance.
