Excellent for a home bar and a Father\'s Day gift! Porcelain figurine from the Haas Brothers \"Gold Mine Series\", which dates to 1975. This beautifully painted \"Bartender\" figurine is in very good vintage shape - the cork that hold the head to the body is still intact, there are no chips, scratches, cracks, or other defects to the porcelain or paint, the original gold foil label is still attached to the back of the figurine, and the gold foil label \"Container made in Japan\" is intact on the underside. The figurine bottle was made in Japan, and the bottle was filled with Grenadine syrup in San Francisco, California (the bottle is now empty, clean, and does not smell). The figurine measures 6\" high and weighs 3.6 oz.
This is one of a set of figurines of characters from Western gold rush times which commemorates John Coleman\'s famous trade of his gold mining land stake in Searchlight, Nevada for one bottle of Cyrus Noble whiskey, \"the best bourbon in town.\" That land stake turned out to be extremely rich in gold, and was known as the Cyrus Noble Mine. Cyrus Noble was a renowned distiller in San Francisco; Haas Brothers, a purveyor of goods and provisions to gold rush miners, eventually acquired the distillery. (Cyrus Noble bourbon is still made today, although it has been moved from San Francisco to Kentucky.)
