Original vintage Casper the Friendly Ghost animation production cel paired with its matching pencil production drawing, from Paramount Studios. Comes with a period Certificate of Authenticity from Artists' Market (Norwalk, CT), which notes the piece is believed to be from a 1950s film, possibly directed by Shamus Culhane during his tenure heading Paramount Cartoon Studios (the successor to Fleischer Studios). Culhane was a legendary Golden Age animator, best known for directing the iconic "Heigh-Ho" sequence in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).The set is beautifully presented in a silver frame with quadruple matting, showing Casper holding a bottle up to his eye like a spyglass — a charming, dynamic pose with both the finished hand-painted cel and the original pencil production drawing shown side by side.Includes:Hand-painted production cel
