A Canadian nephrite jade sphere on a fitted stand, 50mm and 202 grams, sourced from British Columbia and polished to a smooth, even green. British Columbia is home to one of the largest nephrite deposits in the world, and this sphere shows the material at its best, a rich, natural green with the smooth, slightly waxy feel genuine nephrite is known for. Green jade is closely tied to the heart chakra, associated with abundance, prosperity, and confidence.
What makes nephrite specifically from British Columbia notable? It's genuinely one of the world's premier sources, and Canadian nephrite has been supplying both domestic and Chinese markets for decades, since demand for good green nephrite in China has remained strong even as jadeite has become the more fashionable jade in modern jewellery.
A closer look at this piece
Nephrite is a calcium magnesium silicate belonging to the amphibole mineral group, and its fibrous, interlocking crystal structure makes it one of the toughest natural stones known, even tougher than many harder-scratching minerals. Jade of this colour has been read for millennia as warding off negative thought and bringing calm, positive energy to a space. This sphere is natural throughout, not treated or dyed, and individual pieces carry their own slight variation in tone and texture.

Living with your sphere
The included stand makes it ready to place straight onto a desk, altar, or shelf. It suits being kept somewhere associated with abundance in the home, a study, an entryway, or a workspace. Nephrite's toughness means ordinary handling poses little risk; clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water when needed, rinsing well, since the stone is porous and can absorb other colours over time.
Please note: crystals are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Keep small pieces away from young children.
