The Benchmade 940 Osborne is one of Benchmade’s longest-running and most recognizable everyday carry knives. Warren Osborne’s slim reverse-tanto design gives it a lot of usable blade without making the knife bulky in the pocket, while the machined green aluminum handle keeps the whole package rigid, lightweight, and unmistakably 940.
This example has the classic CPM-S30V satin blade, green anodized aluminum scales, purple titanium backspacer, and Benchmade’s amofferextrous AXIS lock. S30V is a proven all-around EDC steel with a strong balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, toughness, and reasonable sharpening.
Benchmade lists the 940 with a 3.40" blade, 7.87" overall length, and weight of just 2.90 oz.
