A tiger and bamboo tsuba is the first thing you notice on the Bamboo Warrior Katana, set above black cotton ito and a glossy black piano-lacquered saya. The blade is hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel, heat tempered and hand sharpened, with a hi on each side. It arrives sharp, with a full tang signed by the smith and fittings that come fully apart.

Why Collectors Choose This Sword

• Hand-forged 1045 high carbon steel, heat tempered. 52–54 HRC at the edge holds a keen, hand-sharpened edge; a softer 48–50 HRC spine absorbs shock. A hi (fuller) runs along each side of the blade.
• Full tang, signed by the smith. The tang runs the full length of the handle and carries the smith's signature; the sword can be fully taken apart for cleaning and reassembled.
• Traditional tsuka. Genuine rayskin (same), black Japanese cotton ito and metal menuki — a secure, classic grip.
• Tiger and bamboo tsuba. A traditional samurai guard with a tiger and bamboo design — the centerpiece of this sword.
• Black piano-lacquered saya. Care and Use

Suited to light cutting practice such as rolled tatami omote, soft mats and water-filled bottles, where permitted by local law. Not intended for hard targets such as metal, stone or seasoned hardwood. The blade can rust if left wet: wipe it dry after handling and apply a light coat of sword oil before storing.
