In one of the most bizarre events in FBI case history,19 year-old millionaire heiress Patricia Hearst was abducted from her apartment in Berkeley, California by members of the Symbionese Liberation Army on February 4, 1974. On April 3, Hearst recorded an audiotape stating she had joined the group and had adopted the alias \"Tania\". On April 15 security cameras recorded Hearst wielding an M-1 carbine alongside SLA members in an armed robbery of a Hibernia Bank in San Francisco, California. Hearst remained a fugitive until her arrest by the FBI on September 15, 1975. She was convicted of armed robbery and sentenced to 35 years in prison. President Jimmy Carter commuted her sentence after she served 21 months and in 2001 President Bill Clinton granted her a full presidential pardon.I have had this poster since 1975 when I was working as a waiter. A waitress at the restaurant mentioned that her brother worked for the regional FBI office in Memphis. I mentioned how much I would like to have the wanted poster, and the next day at work she handed me a manila envelope. This is an authentic piece of American history - and just pretty dang cool. Suitable for framing.
