An exceptional original 1901 Masonic Life Association of Western New York life insurance archive issued to Harry A. Lippincott of Irvington, New York. This is much more than a single insurance certificate—it is a remarkably complete family archive that has remained together for well over a century.
The archive includes the original illustrated policy cover, the large engraved life insurance policy dated December 31, 1901, the completed handwritten medical application, handwritten family notes, and an original September 10, 1906 real estate settlement statement documenting the sale of property for $4,200, including mortgage payoff, taxes, commissions, recording fees, and the balance paid to Harry A. and Sarah J. Lippincott.
The beautifully engraved insurance certificate measures approximately 19 x 15 inches when fully unfolded. Its impressive size and Victorian-era design make it an outstanding candidate for professional framing and display in a home, office, library, study, or Masonic collection.
Very good antique condition for its age. The original outer policy cover shows expected edge wear, corner wear, creasing, small tears, and age toning from over 120 years of storage. The large engraved insurance certificate remains well preserved with strong printing, expected fold lines, and light age toning. The accompanying documents are complete and retain clear handwritten and printed details. Overall, this is an impressive and unusually complete historical archive.
