Original antique Modern Woodmen of America fraternal lodge badge/ribbon from Lincoln Camp No. 1284, White City, Kansas, dating to the early 20th century.
This impressive early lodge piece features a cast gold-tone upper bar with crossed axe/log imagery and raised M.W.A. lettering, a shield-shaped Modern Woodmen of America emblem, red/white/green silk ribbon elements, metallic tassels and fringe, and a black silk lower ribbon printed:
LINCOLN

WHITE CITY, KANS.
The reverse retains its original manufacturer’s paper label:
DeMoulin Bros. & Co.
Manufacturers
Lodge Supplies, Uniforms,
Regalia, Badges, Banners, Etc.
Greenville, Illinois
DeMoulin Bros. was an important American manufacturer of fraternal lodge regalia and had particularly strong early ties to the Modern Woodmen of America.
Approximately 8” long overall.
Condition: Poor/fragile antique condition and being sold as found. The silk and ribbon components have substantial deterioration, tearing, separation, loose threads and losses. Tassels/fringe are loose and/or detached in areas, and the entire piece should be handled carefully. The metal components show age-related wear and finish loss. Original DeMoulin paper label on reverse is worn, cracked and stained but remains largely legible. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition.
Despite its condition, the important identifying elements remain present, including the Lincoln Camp No. 1284 / White City, Kansas ribbon, MWA emblem, decorative lodge hardware and original DeMoulin Bros. manufacturer’s label.
An interesting surviving piece of early Kansas and American fraternal history with appeal to collectors of Modern Woodmen of America memorabilia, DeMoulin lodge regalia and Kansas historical material.
Sold exactly as pictured. No attempt has been made to repair or restore the piece, and all surviving original components will be included.
