Up for sale/sale is a spectacular piece of American industrial history: a fully functional, antique tap water motor manufactured for the Belmont Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri.

Dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century, this pre-electric utility motor utilized household faucet pressure to power small workshop machinery, grinders, fans, and washing machines.

Condition & Functionality

* 100% Fully Functional: Unlike 95% of these antique water motors found today, the internal turbine and drive shaft spin completely free and smooth.

* Tested: This unit has been carefully bench-tested under low tap pressure and works exactly as intended. The power take-off wheel rotates flawlessly.

* Cosmetics: Features a gorgeous, authentic dark iron and reddish-brown rustic patina. The cast lettering "Belmont HDW Co." and "St. Louis" remains clear legible.
