Vintage Radio 5T (1936) Tube Radio – Tested, Working, Lights Up – No Back Cover
This vintage Radio 5T tube radio from 1936 has been tested and is in good working condition. It powers on, lights up beautifully, and successfully receives radio stations. I was able to tune into multiple stations, and the volume and controls function properly. Overall, it presents very well and would make an excellent display piece or addition to any vintage radio collection.
Cosmetically, the radio is in good condition for its age. There is a peel on the upper left-hand area of the cabinet, and the dial lens is loose and can be removed easily, so it may benefit from being glued back into place. I am not the original owner and cannot confirm whether the cabinet has been repainted or if the front grille cloth has been replaced, but it has a very attractive overall appearance. Please review all photos carefully, as they show the cosmetic condition in detail.
Please note that the back cover is missing.
The tuning knob is slightly stiff in certain positions, as though it lightly rubs against something internally. However, it still tunes through the full range of stations and functions properly.
Please note: This is a vintage electronic item manufactured in 1936 and is being sold strictly AS-IS. I only tested the unit briefly for approximately 2–3 minutes to confirm it powers on, lights up, and receives stations. I did not perform any extended or detailed testing, such as tuning specific stations or evaluating long-term performance. I also used the antenna that was already attached and did not adjust or reposition it, so I cannot confirm whether it is in the optimal or original configuration. While it is currently working and receiving stations, it should not be purchased with the expectation that it will operate perfectly or continuously without issue. Due to its age, maintenance, servicing, repairs, or restoration may be required at any time.
Please review all photos and the included video carefully, as they are part of the description and demonstrate the radio in its current working condition. You will receive the exact item shown.
