Up for sale is a beautiful, old hand-carved Pacific Island ceremonial adze haft (handle). The piece features intricate hand-carved relief work running down the length of the shaft, topped with a stylized figurative head form (wheku) and distinct serrated teeth detailing characteristic of Oceanic tribal craftsmanship.
This is the wooden haft/handle portion only; it does not include the stone blade (toki) or the original cord lashings. It shows a deep, rich wood tone with authentic hand-tool marks and a natural aged patina across the surface.
