About Lytton Geyser Soda Springs
Lytton Springs, located near Healdsburg in Sonoma County, California, became famous during the late 19th century for its naturally carbonated mineral waters. The spring's water was bottled and distributed throughout California and beyond, promoted for its refreshing taste and purported health benefits during the height of America's mineral water craze.
This bottle dates from the era when Hutchinson closures were widely used, before crown-top bottles largely replaced them around the turn of the 20th century. Its bold embossing, classic blob top, and attractive aqua glass make it an excellent example of a Western mineral water bottle from this period.
