A tall and sculptural Austrian Jugendstil / Vienna Secession iron two-light candlestick, circa 1905, attributed to Carl Deffner Esslingen. The design features strong architectural lines: U-form arms rising from a tri-lobed base with hammered and engraved geometric gilded decoration. Rich original patina creates beautiful contrast on the surfaces.
The underside is incised with the model number 2755 and “Log Fdr” — a factory workshop mark used for inventory and production logs on period Secessionist bronzes.
A rare 14-inch example with exceptional sculptural presence — displays beautifully and is ready for use.
