Antique Vintage J.B. Jennings Brothers Art Nouveau Cast Metal gold-tone U.S. Capitol Building Washington DC Jewelry Trinket Dresser Box. Jennings Brothers was founded around 1890 and was well known for their quality, high-end metal work.This superbly detailed replica has a beautiful cobblestone patterned bottommarked with their logo JB and their model number 1958 (not a date!). Wonderful addition to a collection, displays beautifully.
In used antique condition, with a good working hinge and most of it\'s original finish intact. There are some expected signs of wear from age and use. Noted is a 1\" separation at one back corner. The separation is mostly tight but with the lid up there is a slight movement at the corner when squeezed. It still seems very sturdy and we believe it may have been caused the a casting defect, see pics.
This heavy piece weighs just over 1 1/2 pounds. It measures about 5 1/8\" x 3 1/2\" x 4\" to top of the spire.
