Distinctive antique standing crucifix featuring an ornately shaped wooden cross, gold-finished figure of Christ, and a stepped pedestal surrounded by a miniature gold-tone railing.
The worn cream-colored paint contrasts beautifully with the gold accents, while the rounded feet and fenced base give this devotional piece unusual folk-art character.
Measures approximately 19\" tall × 7\" wide × 5\" deep.
Offered in visibly aged condition with paint loss, chips, wood splits, scattered small holes, finish wear, and uneven or bent railing elements. The cross’s central joint shows damage and apparent previous repairs, including visible wire reinforcement and fasteners. Please examine the original close-up photographs carefully.
Exact age, maker, country of origin, and material of the Christ figure are unconfirmed.
An expressive piece for a religious-art collection, devotional display, or collection of antique folk art.
