For your consideration is an antique Chinese Qing Dynasty era hookah or water pipe, ca. 1890. A rare and well crafted example in paktong or white brass (a nickel silver alloy) with a beautifully shaped horn. The inlays are in good condition and display mounted paktong characters translating to a blessing of infinite abundance. Very meticulous details and etchings are incised around the top and bottom edges of the dual cylinder base. A couple of tiny dings are present on the elongated horn, as well as expected mild staining, particularly to the interior of the front chamber. Regardless, the pipe displays beautifully and is in otherwise excellent condition. Wear is commensurate to age and a history of prior use so please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
