The body features a beautifully dimpled, hand-hammered planished texture across the warm copper surface. It is heavily decorated with prominent, structural cast brass handles secured by ornate brass brackets featuring an engraved radiating sunburst pattern. The upper shoulders are chased with symmetric, stylized geometric fans and distinctive repoussé wheel rosettes on the sides, strongly pointing to European Secessionist or Jugendstil artisan guild workshop design influences.
Markings & Provenance:
The underside features a clean, small numeric "0" stamped in the center, which typically indicates a workshop pattern scale or a master craftsman's inspector mark. Faintly visible on the base is a fascinating "ghost transfer" of a Greek key meander pattern border—a testament to decades of honest use resting on an early antique stand or decorative hearth tile.
