Anheuser-Busch Amber Beer Bottle — Consumers Beer Bottling Establishment, Charleston, South Carolina — Circa 1905
Imagine an amber bottle catching the light across a wooden counter in turn-of-the-century Charleston. Before the cap is lifted, the glass has already announced its maker: bold lettering, a raised star, and a spread-winged eagle crossing an imposing letter A. More than a container, this was brewery advertising molded directly into glass—and this example still delivers that striking first impression.
Offered here is a handsome early Anheuser-Busch beer bottle associated with Consumers Beer Bottling Establishment of Charleston, South Carolina, standing approximately 9 inches tall. Its rich amber glass, exceptionally strong embossing, and wonderfully irregular neck give it substantial visual character.
Bold Pictorial Embossing
The front carries the Anheuser-Busch name and abbreviated brewing-association wording surrounding a large pictorial trademark: the famous eagle and letter A, with a raised star above and BEER below.
The reverse is embossed:

With the additional ownership wording:
REGISTERED
THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD
That reverse inscription connects the bottle to Consumers Beer Bottling Establishment, the Charleston agents for Anheuser-Busch. It adds a local South Carolina collecting connection to an already recognizable piece of American brewery history.
Early Glassmaking Character
The crown finish is particularly appealing: irregularly formed, with visible drippy glass details beneath the lip. Beautiful twisting and flowing lines in the neck catch the light as the bottle is turned.
The body displays scattered bubbles and subtle variations in the glass, while the smooth, unmarked base has no pontil scar.
The combination of luminous amber color, deeply raised lettering, and a prominent pictorial eagle makes this an especially attractive display example.

Bright, glossy glass with strong embossing and excellent overall display appeal. The following small imperfections are disclosed carefully:
No scratches reported.
A tiny chip along the side mold seam where it meets the heel, difficult to notice under normal lighting.
A couple of faint patches of residual contents inside the shoulders, also difficult to notice under normal lighting.
Tiny flea-bites affecting two embossed letters.
Original manufacturing irregularities include bubbles, flowing glass lines, neck twists, and crude finish details.
